What’s driving Indonesia’s Interior Design Market

As the leading economy in South East Asia and as a business hub for many international companies, Indonesia set as the perfect gateway to enter the South East Asian market. Indonesia’s strength includes its large number of population, stability, relatively low labor costs and the availability of raw materials.

As the fourth most populated country in the world, with more than 260 million people, Indonesia is considered as “Asia’s next big opportunity,” along with its fast-growing economy and favorable demographics.

Indonesia is not only a land of opportunity when sourcing products, but also an ever-unfolding market of savvy consumers with a hearty appetite for the latest interior design and lifestyle product design trends!

Hotels as one of the major hospitality industry, has nowadays developed aggressively in Indonesia. With the support and commitments from the government and other stakeholders, Indonesia’s tourism industry has strengthen its position as one of the leading leisure and business destination.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy believes that by 2019 the sector will need to generate: 120.000 rooms, 15.000 restaurants, 10.000 travel agencies, 300 international class recreation parks, 2.000 diving operators and 100 marinas.
